MYOTHA NATIONAL GOLF CLUB

Myanmar has had a long golfing history with over 160 course, many dating back to the British Colonial days. After the lifting of trade embargo in 2014 Myanmar embraced a new era in development and Green Dynasty Pte Ltd were fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Mandalay Myotha Industrial Development to build one of the great courses in Asia and Best. Designed by Schmidt Curley Design, the Green Dynasty team worked specifically with local contractors and local villages to build a course that embraces the spirit of involving the local community. With a landscape similar to a desert landscape with temperatures reaching over 45 degrees for months on end in summer and little rainfall we had to reinvent the wheel and think outside the square on how to build in this climate with little or no golf industry to support us. Adopting a sustainable development approach, sheer hard work and determination Myotha National came to life and is a “One of a Kind” in Asia. To honour the commitment of the developer, Myotha National won Best Course in Myanmar in its debut year of 2018.
